A bit about me…

Hi, I’m Ed, a Northumberland-based photographer & videographer specialising in capturing genuine emotions & authentic moments.

I have been shooting professionally for over 8 years now. In that time I’ve covered over 240 weddings, and organised shoots featuring hundreds if not thousands of vehicles.

When I'm not working you'll probably find me cruising, out walking with our little family, ruining my hearing at a gig, or sitting in a tattoo studio.

I have always had a keen eye for detail, and more recently I discovered that I have severe OCD when it comes to composition. I lost count of how many Pentax cameras my Dad had to replace because I kept 'borrowing' them and wearing them out/dropping them in rivers, mud, or slamming them off tarmac whilst trying to get the perfect angles.

I chose to pursue a career in photography after being on the fence about becoming a lawyer or chasing my dream job. Either I take a well paid job (that brings with it a LOT of stress and not much enjoyment), or do what I love (and hope people think I'm good enough at it to be paid for doing so!).

I flunked my A-levels.. so I decided to do what I love.

As a result, I emerged from Newcastle University with a maxed out student overdraft, plenty of debt, and a BA(Hons) Degree in Photography & Digital Media.

FAQs

  • I've never been too strict on scheduling payments. In light of recent events (Covid), that isn't going to change. Once your deposit is paid, there's nothing more to worry about for quite some time. Whether you'd prefer to pay your remaining balance off bit by bit or in one go, it's totally up to you. As long as we're all settled up by the time you get your images, that's all that matters!

  • I am, of course, more than willing to travel. I have past and current bookings at venues all over the UK, in France, Majorca & Malta! Destination weddings are a great way to escape the ordinary. As far as travel costs are concerned; fuel & accommodation costs are simply added to my package prices at face value.

  • Your deposit is transferrable - meaning in the unfortunate event that you are forced to reschedule, your deposit simply will be moved to a new agreed date.

If a cancellation occurs due to the supplier not being able to meet the terms of booking (including but not limited to; ill health, family emergency etc) then a full refund shall be issued.

  • Short answer: Absolutely!

I try to keep my pricing as low as possible, therefore keeping added extras to a minimum as standard. If you would like prints or an album to be included in a package, please just mention it upon enquiring - you can always change your mind at a later date.

  • Typically, no. That being said if I have space in my diary I don’t mind doing the odd feature film!

Myself and my wife used to work as a team offering both services as a combination deal. However since having children, it’s just a bit too much to commit to.

I’ve ultimately decided to dedicate myself wholly to photography again, instead of overstretching by doing both!
